BitTorrent - list of clients
new breed of p2p sharing - BitTorrent http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent
[filesoup] All of the clients listed below run on Windows OS, there are other clients out there for Mac and UNIX users.
There are also many other BT-related utilities for making torrents, running trackers and so on.
As well as this forum , nod of respect to hyrle, kRYPT and others, this is a good place to look for more info > http://www.dessent.net/btfaq/#where
My personal favourite is TheShadOw client, with the java-based Azureus a very close second. Burst! RC5 is the preferred flavour for many.

JerkTorrent is - as the name suggests - strictly for jerks. Allows you to limit your upload at any level, which kind of defeats the purpose of BT.
